【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충청북도교육청은 안전한 유치원 환경 조성을 위해 <안심유치원>을 운영하고, 유치원 안전관리 체계 강화와 안전교육 내실화를 위한 지원을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.
안심유치원은 유치원 안전관리 전반을 점검하고 맞춤형 컨설팅을 지원하기 위해 지정·운영하는 사업으로, 공모를 통해 계획서를 심사해 대상 유치원을 선정한다.
도교육청은 올해 공립 19개원, 사립 2개원 등 총 21개 안심유치원을 선정해 3월부터 12월까지 맞춤형 안전 컨설팅을 운영하고, 유치원 스스로 안전관리 수준을 점검·개선할 수 있는 자율적 관리 역량 강화에 중점을 둔다.
안심유치원 컨설팅은 시설·환경, 재난 대응, 안전사고 예방, 급·간식, 통학 및 등·하원 안전 등 전 분야를 대상으로 진행되며, 유치원별 안전 취약 요소를 진단하고 개선 방안을 제시하는 방식으로 추진된다.
시설, 보건·급식, 안전교육 등 분야별 전문가와 교육지원청 장학사 등으로 구성된 지원단을 운영해 현장 밀착형 컨설팅을 실시하고, 우수 사례 발굴과 정책 개선으로 연계할 예정이다.
또한 유아의 발달 특성을 반영한 안전교육 운영 사례 확산을 지원하고, 생활 및 시설 안전관리 방안을 현장에 적용할 수 있도록 지원을 강화한다.
한편, 도교육청은 24일(화) 공·사립유치원 담당 교원과 교육전문직 30명을 대상으로 안전 강화 및 안전교육 내실화를 위한 연수를 실시했다.
이번 연수에서는 학교안전공제중앙회 기획총괄실 이영훈 법무제도 담당관이 강사로 참여해 실제 사례를 중심으로 사고 발생 시 초기 대응 요령과 행정 처리 절차를 안내하고, 이를 통해 현장의 대응 역량을 높이며 실무 중심의 안전교육 운영 기반을 강화했다.
홍승표 유초등교육과장은 “유아기는 안전 습관이 형성되는 중요한 시기로, 유치원에서의 체계적인 안전교육과 안전관리는 무엇보다 중요하다.”라며 “안전 컨설팅과 교육 지원을 통해 유아가 안심하고 생활할 수 있는 교육환경을 조성하고, 현장 중심의 안전관리 체계를 지속적으로 강화해 나가겠다.”라고 말했다.
