증평군정신건강복지센터는 24일 증평대한장례식장과 업무협약을 체결하고, 초기 단계 유족 발굴과 상담·사례관리 연계를 위한 협력 기반을 마련했다.
이번 협약은 자살로 가족을 잃은 유족의 고립을 예방하고 심리적 회복과 일상 복귀를 지원하기 위해 추진됐다.
앞서 센터는 증평지구대와 증평소방서, 괴산경찰서, 증평읍사무소를 비롯해 지역 내 장례식장 4곳을 방문해 사업 취지를 설명하고, 자살유족 발생 시 신속한 정보 연계와 지원 협조를 요청했다.
현장 대응 기관과 장례식장 간 협력을 통해 자살 유족 발굴의 사각지대를 줄이는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
센터는 앞으로 자살유족을 대상으로 원스톱 서비스 지원과 사례관리, 정신건강 치료 연계 등 맞춤형 지원을 제공하고 지속적인 관리로 심리적 회복을 도울 계획이다.
손민근 센터장은 “자살유족은 심리적 충격과 상실로 인해 고위험군으로 이어질 가능성이 높아 조기 개입이 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “유관기관과의 협력을 강화해 유족들이 지역사회 안에서 안정적으로 회복할 수 있도록 지속적인 지원을 이어가겠다”고 말했다.
