더불어민주당이 국민의 삶에 밀착한 실질적 해법을 제시하는 <착!붙 공약 프로젝트>의 첫 번째 결과물로 ‘그냥 해드림 센터’ 전국 설치를 약속했다.
‘그냥 해드림 센터’는 홀로 거주하거나 자녀와 떨어져 사는 어르신들이 겪는 일상 속 작은 불편을 전화 한 통으로 해결해 주는 생활밀착형 공공서비스다. 형광등이나 전구 교체부터 수도꼭지 수리, 문고리·경첩 보수, 방충망 교체, 미끄럼 방지 패드 설치 등 사소해 보이지만 어르신 혼자 해결하기엔 버거운 일들을 국가가 책임지고 ‘그냥’ 해드린다는 구상이다.

이번 공약은 과거 이재명 대통령이 경기도지사 시절 시행해 큰 호응을 얻었던 ‘그냥드림센터’(먹거리·생필품 지원)를 생활 수리 영역으로 확장한 모델이다. 65세 이상 어르신만 거주하는 가구라면 소득 요건에 상관없이 누구나 이용할 수 있어, 복지 사각지대를 없애고 자녀들의 돌봄 부담까지 덜어줄 것으로 기대된다.

이번 공약은 김태년 의원이 단장을 맡고 민병덕·이소영 의원이 총괄 매니저로 활약 중인 <착!붙 공약 프로젝트> TF를 통해 발굴됐다. 약 200여 건의 국민 제안 중 현장 체감도가 가장 높을 것으로 예상되는 아이디어가 1호 공약으로 낙점된 것이다.
김태년 민생경제 대도약 추진단장은 “국민이 직접 제안한 생활 불편 해소 아이디어를 실제 정책으로 만드는 데 집중하고 있다”며, “어르신들의 생활 불편 해소는 물론 자녀분들의 걱정을 덜어드리는 효도 공약이 될 것”이라고 밝혔다.
1호 공약 전담 의원인 이소영 의원은 “누군가에게는 사소한 형광등 하나를 바꾸는 일이 홀로 사는 어르신에게는 커다란 장벽이 될 수 있다”며, “지역에 따른 격차 없이 전국 어디서든 ‘그냥 해드림 센터’를 이용할 수 있도록 책임 있게 추진하겠다”고 강조했다.
