특히 공항 후적지와 산업단지 개발을 연계한 의료특구·AI·AX 산업 유치 구상을 통해 지역 경제 체질 개선을 강조했고, 출산·보육부터 노후까지 이어지는 복지 체계 구축과 산학협력 기반 청년 일자리 확대도 주요 과제로 제시했다.
김 의원은 “북구에서 태어나 자라고 아이를 키우며 지역의 문제를 직접 해결해왔다”며 “비 오는 날 민원 현장을 찾고, 코로나 시기 소상공인을 위한 예산을 마련한 경험이 행정의 출발점”이라고 말했다.
최근 북구청장 선거 구도와 관련해서는 후보 난립 속 단일화 흐름에 대해 “특정 인물을 언급하긴 어렵지만 이미 한 후보는 사퇴 후 돕기로 했다”며 “조만간 함께하는 흐름이 있을 것”이라고 밝혔다.
