【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구시교육청 창의융합교육원이 학생들이 생성형 AI를 활용해 앱 개발부터 창업까지 직접 경험할 수 있는 실전형 교육에 나선다.
창의융합교육원은 25일 ‘2026 대구 학생 바이브 벤처 프로젝트’를 오는 4월부터 11월까지 8개월간 운영한다고 밝혔다. 이번 프로젝트는 대구 지역 초·중·고 학생 30명을 선발해 팀을 이루어 앱 기획, 개발, 배포의 전 과정을 직접 맡아보는 구조다.
프로젝트는 먼저 실생활 속 문제를 찾아내는 기획 단계로 시작된다. 이후 생성형 AI를 활용한 ‘바이브 코딩’ 기반 앱 개발, 전문가 멘토링을 통한 서비스 고도화, 우수 팀에 대한 창업 지원까지 단계적으로 진행된다. 학생 2~3명이 한 팀을 이루고, 각 팀에는 멘토가 1명씩 배정돼 밀착 지도를 받을 수 있다.
특히 이번 프로그램에는 마이크로소프트 전문가와 경북대학교, 영남이공대학교 등 지역 대학이 참여해 학생들의 기술·창업 역량을 한층 끌어올릴 예정이다. 참가 학생에겐 개발 도구 구독료, 클라우드 이용비 등 실무 과정에 필요한 비용이 전액 지원된다.
참가 신청은 다음 달 6일까지 각 학교를 통해 할 수 있다.
교육계는 이번 사업이 생성형 AI를 활용한 문제 해결 능력과 실제 창업 경험을 동시에 키워줄 수 있다는 점에서 의미가 크다는 평가를 내놓고 있다. 다만 단기 프로젝트로 그치지 않고, 이후 실제 창업으로 이어지기 위해선 후속 지원 체계와 지속적 멘토링이 중요하다는 목소리도 나온다.
유호선 창의융합교육원 원장은 “이번 프로젝트는 현실 문제 해결에 관심을 가진 학생들이 직접 기획부터 개발, 배포까지 경험할 수 있는 좋은 기회가 될 것”이라며 “대구시청, 글로벌 기업, 지역 대학과 협력해 대구 학생들이 미래 디지털 경제의 주역으로 성장할 수 있도록 적극적으로 지원할 계획”이라고 말했다.

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education’s Center for Creative Convergence is launching a practical education program that allows students to directly experience everything from app development to entrepreneurship using generative AI.
On the 25th, the Center announced that it will operate the "2026 Daegu Student VIVE Venture Project" for eight months, from this coming April to November. This project is structured to select 30 elementary, middle, and high school students from the Daegu region to form teams and take charge of the entire process of app planning, development, and distribution.
The project begins with a planning phase where students identify real-life problems. It then proceeds in stages, including app development based on "VIVE Coding" utilizing generative AI, service enhancement through expert mentoring, and startup support for outstanding teams. Students form teams of two to three, and one mentor is assigned to each team to provide close guidance.
In particular, experts from Microsoft and local universities such as Kyungpook National University and Yeungnam University are participating in this program to further enhance students' technological and entrepreneurial capabilities. Participating students will receive full financial support for the practical training, including subscription fees for development tools and cloud usage fees.
Applications can be submitted through each school until the 6th of next month.
The education sector evaluates this project as highly significant, noting that it can simultaneously foster problem-solving skills using generative AI and provide actual startup experience. However, voices also emphasize the importance of follow-up support systems and continuous mentoring to ensure the project does not remain a short-term endeavor but leads to actual startups.
Yoo Ho-seon, Director of the Center for Creative Convergence Education, stated, "This project will be a great opportunity for students interested in solving real-world problems to experience the entire process from planning to development and deployment firsthand." He added, "We plan to actively support Daegu students in cooperation with Daegu City Hall, global companies, and local universities so that they can grow into key players in the future digital economy."
