브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= KT는 지능화·대형화되는 사이버 공격으로부터 공공·기업 고객의 고객의 네트워크 환경을 안정적으로 보호하기 위해 DDoS(디도스) 방어 솔루션 ‘클린존(Clean Zone)’을 고도화했다고 25일 밝혔다.
클린존은 디도스 공격이 발생했을 때 공격 트래픽은 차단하고 정상 트래픽만 고객사의 서버로 전달해, 고객의 서비스가 중단 없이 운영되도록 지원하는 보안 서비스다.
국내에서 실제 발생한 디도스 공격 데이터를 기반으로 높은 탐지 정확도를 갖췄으며, 별도의 장비 설치 없이 클라우드 환경에서 이용할 수 있다.
KT는 해외 구간을 포함한 네트워크 전반에 국내 통신사 중 최대용량의 DDoS 차단 인프라를 구축하고, 보안 전문 인력이 24시간 365일 실시간 관제를 통해 공격에 대응하고 있다.
이를 통해 클린존은 지난해 국내 기업에서 발생한 대규모 DDoS 공격을 적기에 탐지하고 즉시 대응한 바 있다. 해당 기업은 서비스 접속 차단 없이 평상시와 다름없는 서비스 환경을 유지할 수 있었다.
KT는 사이버 공격 대응 역량을 더욱 높이기 위해 클린존의 방어 용량을 기존 대비 2배 이상 수준으로 확충했다. 대규모 트래픽 공격이 여러 고객사에 동시에 유입되는 상황에서도 안정적으로 대응할 수 있는 규모로, 공공·기업 고객의 서비스 중단 위험을 줄이고 안정적인 네트워크 운영을 지원한다.
KT는 클린존의 인프라 강화와 함께 AI 실시간 학습 엔진도 적용했다. AI가 고객사의 일상적인 비즈니스 환경에서 발생하는 트래픽 패턴을 분석하고 AI기반의 디도스 공격 자동탐지 기능을 적용, 오탐율을 최소화해 정교한 디도스 탐지/대응을 가능하게 했다.
또한, 고객사가 사이버 공격에 보다 신속하게 대응할 수 있도록 고객 전용 실시간 대시보드 기능도 새롭게 제공한다. 이를 통해 고객사 담당자도 직접 유입되는 트래픽 상태와 공격 탐지 현황을 확인할 수 있기 때문에 보다 확실한 보안 관리가 가능하다. 고객별 맞춤 보안 정책 제안과 모의훈련 서비스를 통해 고객의 보안 대응력도 함께 높여 나간다는 계획이다.
한편, KT는 이번에 고도화한 ‘클린존’을 중심으로 차세대 보안 아키텍처인 KT SASE(Secure Access Service Edge)와 Flexline ZTNA를 연계 제공함으로써, 공공·기업 네트워크 전반에 제로 트러스트 기반 보안 체계를 단계적으로 적용할 수 있는 환경을 마련했다.
