(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 지난 24일 시교육청 대강당에서 학생과 교사, 교육전문직 등 500여 명이 참석한 가운데, 인공지능 시대에 필요한 교육적 가치와 방향을 담은 ‘인천 AI교육 공동선언’을 발표했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 선언은 AI 기술이 급격히 확산되는 교육 환경 속에서, 인천 AI 교육이 지향해야 할 가치와 원칙을 교육공동체와 공유하고 학교 현장의 실천 의지를 결집하고자 마련했다.
인천시교육청은 지난해부터 교수와 기업인 등을 포함한 전문가 그룹, 실무 TF팀과 추진단을 운영하며, 인천 AI 교육의 원칙을 정립하고 정책 실행방안을 구체화하여, AI 시대 인천교육의 방향을 ‘읽걷쓰로 인간다움과 주도성을 기르고 AI를 활용하여 새로운 가치를 창출하는 교육(이하 읽걷쓰AI)’로 제시했다.
이번 선언에는 인간 중심의 읽걷쓰를 통한 삶의 힘 함양, 발달 단계별 맞춤형 AI교육, 윤리·공공성·포용성 바탕의 AI 활용, AI를 통해 지역과 세계를 잇는 인문·예술·과학기술 융합교육의 실천 방향과 원칙이 담겼다.
공동선언에 참여한 교사는“AI 기술이 발전할수록 학생들이 스스로 생각하고 질문하는 힘이 더욱 중요하다”며“이번 선언을 계기로 AI교육의 방향과 취지가 학교 현장에서 실천으로 이어질 수 있도록 함께 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
