(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 25일, 치매안심센터에서 경증 치매환자의 인지기능 유지와 사회적 고립 예방을 위해 가정방문형 인지활동 ‘기억지킴사업’을 지난해에 이어 올해도 추진할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, ‘기억지킴사업’은 치매안심센터에 등록된 경증 치매환자를 대상으로 지역주민인 ‘기억지킴이’가 가정을 방문하여 뇌신경 체조, 회상일기 작성, 인지교구(6종) 활용 등을 통하여 치매환자의 인지기능 유지와 일상생활 수행능력 향상을 돕는 1:1 맞춤형 인지건강활동 제공 사업이다.
지난해 가좌동, 석남동, 불로대곡동 치매안심마을을 대상으로 추진한 결과, 주관적 기억감퇴(SMCQ)는 3.7점, 우울감(SGDS-K)은 1.4점 감소하는 등 인지·정서영역에서 모두 긍정적인 변화가 나타났으며, 기억지킴이(지역주민)의 치매태도·인식도는 9.1점 향상됐다.
또, 기억지킴이와 사업 참여자 모두 만족도 100%를 기록하는 성과를 거뒀다.
이러한 성과를 바탕으로 우수사례로서 인천시 ‘최우수’, 보건복지부 ‘우수상’(전국 2위)을 수상했으며, 올해는 가정동, 연희동, 오류왕길동으로 확대해 상·하반기로 나누어 추진할 예정이다.

On the 25th, Incheon Seo-gu announced plans to continue the home-visit cognitive activity 'Memory Guardian Project' this year, following last year, at the Dementia Relief Center to maintain cognitive function and prevent social isolation in patients with mild dementia.
According to Seo-gu, the 'Memory Guardian Project' is a 1:1 customized cognitive health activity program for patients with mild dementia registered at the Dementia Relief Center. Local residents acting as 'Memory Guardians' visit the homes of patients to help maintain cognitive function and improve daily living skills through activities such as brain nerve exercises, writing reminiscence diaries, and utilizing six types of cognitive teaching aids.
As a result of the initiative implemented last year in the Dementia-Friendly Villages of Gajwa-dong, Seoknam-dong, and Bullo-Daegok-dong, positive changes were observed in both cognitive and emotional domains, with the Subjective Memory Decline (SMCQ) decreasing by 3.7 points and depression (SGDS-K) decreasing by 1.4 points.
