수협중앙회는 25일, 전국 조합장들이 지난 24일 정기총회에서 ‘공명선거 실천 결의대회’를 열고 투명한 선거 추진에 뜻을 모았다고 밝혔다. 이번 결의는 선거 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 불법 행위를 사전에 차단하고, 공정한 선거 관리 체계를 조기에 구축하기 위한 취지다.
특히 위탁선거법 개정으로 기부행위 제한 기간이 기존 임기 만료일 전 180일에서 1년으로 확대된 만큼, 선거 초반부터 엄정한 기준을 적용해 불법 선거 관행을 근절하겠다는 방침이다.
