오 예비후보는 IBK기업은행 본점 유치를 넘어 한국투자공사, 한국무역보험공사, 대한무역투자진흥공사 등 주요 금융·투자·무역 공공기관을 중구 도심에 집적하겠다는 전략을 내세웠다.

벤처투자 확대 방안도 언급됐다. 오 예비후보는 IBK기업은행 본점 유치와 연계해 ‘IBK 벤처투자 내셔널 센터’ 설치를 추진하고, 비수도권 투자 의무화 정책으로 발생하는 자금을 지역 스타트업에 지원하겠다는 의지를 내비쳤다. 현재 대구의 벤처투자 비중이 전국에서 1%대에 머무르고 있는 점을 개선하겠다는 설명이다.
또 인공지능 전환을 기반으로 기술·자본·수출이 연결되는 산업 생태계 조성 계획도 밝혔다. 오 예비후보는 수성알파시티 등에서 생산된 기술을 금융 인프라와 결합해, 사업화와 투자, 해외 진출까지 이어지는 구조를 만들겠다고 설명했다.
