대구 동구청은 최근 도동 산49번지 일원 용암산성 산림휴양공원 내 숲길 정비사업을 완료했다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 지난해부터 추진된 생활권 등산로 정비사업의 일환으로, 시비와 구비를 포함해 총 1억6천만 원이 투입됐다.
정비사업을 통해 숲길 내 짚라인과 건너기 놀이대, 그네 등 체험형 숲 놀이터가 새롭게 조성됐으며, 목계단과 휀스, 안내판 등을 설치해 이용 편의성과 안전성을 한층 강화했다.
동구청은 이번 정비로 시민들이 자연 속에서 여가를 즐기면서도 문화재인 용암산성을 보다 가까이에서 체험할 수 있는 환경이 마련됐다고 설명했다.
김태운 동구청장 권한대행은 “숲길 정비를 통해 용암산성을 보다 쾌적하게 즐길 수 있도록 했다”며 “많은 시민들이 방문해 자연과 문화가 어우러진 공간을 함께 누리길 바란다”고 말했다.

Daegu Dong-gu has refurbished a recreational space for citizens by improving the environment of hiking trails within residential areas.
The Dong-gu Office recently announced the completion of a forest trail maintenance project within the Yongamsanseong Forest Recreation Park, located at San 49, Dodong.
This project was part of the residential hiking trail maintenance initiative launched last year, with a total investment of 160 million won, including both city and district funds.
Through the maintenance, experiential forest playgrounds featuring zip lines, crossing play structures, and swings were newly constructed along the trails. Additionally, wooden stairs, fences, and information boards were installed to significantly enhance user convenience and safety.
The Dong-gu Office explained that this renovation has created an environment where citizens can enjoy leisure time in nature while experiencing Yongamsanseong Fortress, a cultural heritage site, up close. Kim Tae-woon, Acting Head of Dong-gu District Office, said, “We have improved the forest paths to allow for a more pleasant experience at Yongamsanseong Fortress,” adding, “I hope many citizens will visit and enjoy this space where nature and culture harmonize.”
