【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=충북대학교와 (사)오송생명과학단지 경영자협회가 3월 26일(목) 5극3특 성장엔진 분야 협력체계 구축과 상호 발전을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결하고 본격적인 산학협력에 나섰다.
협약식은 오송생명과학단지 경영자협회 회원사 중 하나인 ㈜메타바이오메드에서 오후 3시에 진행됐으며, 양 기관 주요 관계자 30여 명이 참석했다.
이번 MOU는 국가균형성장을 위한 지방대학 육성 방안의 일환으로 마련됐으며, 지역 혁신 생태계 조성을 위해 충북대와 지역 산업 간 협력 기반을 강화하고자 마련됐다.
협약에 따라 양 기관은 5극3특 성장엔진 분야를 중심으로 산학 공동연구 및 기술개발 협력을 추진한다. 또한 산업 수요 기반의 교육과정 운영과 계약학과 개발 등을 통해 실무 중심의 인재 양성 체계를 구축할 계획이다. 아울러 산학 공동 세미나와 포럼 개최 등 다양한 협력 사업을 진행하며, 단계적으로 협력 과제를 구체화하고 협력 네트워크를 확대해 나갈 예정이다.
박유식 총장 직무대리는 “이번 협약을 통해 충북대는 지역 산업과 연계한 실질적인 산학협력 모델을 구축하는 중요한 계기를 마련하게 됐다”며, “특히 첨단 바이오와 반도체 분야에서 공동연구와 인재 양성을 체계적으로 추진해 지역 혁신 생태계 조성과 국가균형발전에 기여할 것”이라고 밝혔다.
(사)오송생명과학단지 경영자협회(44개 회원사)는 충청북도로부터 사단법인 설립 허가를 받은 법정 법인으로, 산경협(KIBA, 한국산업단지경영자협의회)의 충북 대표 조직으로서 국가 및 충북 발전에 기여하는 지역 바이오 산업 및 산학연 협력의 중심 조직이다.
