이날 생활개선회원 40여 명은 증평군립도서관에서 미륵사에 이르는 구간을 중심으로 도로변과 공공장소에 버려진 쓰레기를 수거하며 깨끗한 지역 환경 조성에 힘을 보탰다.
한 회원은 “작은 손길이 모여 큰 변화를 만든다는 것을 느꼈다”며 “환경을 지키는 의미 있는 활동을 회원들과 함께해 더욱 보람 있었다”고 말했다.
