<브레이크뉴스 영월 = 김일웅 기자> 영월군이 새 학기를 맞은 지역 청소년들이 유해한 환경으로부터 보호받고 건강하게 성장할 수 있도록 꼼꼼한 안전망 구축에 나섰다.
영월군은 지난 26일 개학기를 맞아 학교 주변 상권 및 유해업소를 대상으로 관계기관 합동 점검과 단속을 전격 실시했다고 27일 밝혔다.
이번 합동 점검은 영월군청소년유해환경감시단을 필두로 영월군청, 영월경찰서, 영월교육지원청 등 지역 내 주요 유관기관이 긴밀하게 협력해 단속반을 구성하며 실효성을 높였다.
단속반은 지역 내 초·중·고등학교 인근 편의점과 음식점 등 청소년들의 출입이 잦은 시설을 집중적으로 살폈다. 주요 점검 사항은 ▲청소년 대상 술·담배 판매 금지 표시 부착 여부 ▲청소년 출입 및 고용 금지 의무 준수 여부 등이며, 업주들을 대상으로 청소년보호법의 주요 내용을 안내하는 홍보 활동도 병행했다.
이두영 영월군청소년유해환경감시단장은 “새 학기를 맞은 청소년들이 유혹에 빠지지 않고 건전한 환경에서 학업에 전념할 수 있도록 지속적인 예방 활동과 점검을 이어가겠다”고 전했다.
