원주시는 중동 지역 분쟁 여파로 불확실성이 커진 관내 수출기업의 경영 안정을 돕기 위해 금융 및 물류 지원을 대폭 강화한다고 27일 밝혔다.
우선 수출기업에 대한 금융 지원 문턱을 낮추고 혜택은 늘린다. 기존에는 기업당 운전자금 최대 3억 원에 대해 3%의 이차 보전을 지원해왔으나, 앞으로는 수출기업을 우대기업으로 분류해 최대 3년간 3.5%까지 이차 보전을 지원할 계획이다.
급등하는 물류비 부담을 덜어주기 위한 파격적인 대책도 시행된다. 원주시 수출바우처 사업을 통한 국제 운송 물류비 지원 비율을 기존 30%에서 50%로 대폭 상향 조정해, 기업들이 현장에서 느끼는 실질적인 비용 부담을 덜어주기로 했다.
수출 시장 다변화 전략도 속도를 낸다. 당초 상반기 예정됐던 아랍에미리트(UAE) 해외시장개척단 운영 계획을 중동 정세를 고려해 동남아 중심으로 전격 변경하고, 미국과 호주 등 대체 시장 발굴에 박차를 가한다. 또한 다양한 국가의 유망 바이어를 원주로 직접 초청해 수출상담회를 개최하는 등 공격적인 마케팅을 전개할 방침이다.
