이번 캠페인은 최근 5년간 봄철 건설현장 사고 사망자가 겨울철 대비 약 13% 증가하는 등 계절적 위험 요인이 높아지는 점을 고려해 마련됐다. 특히 건설현장이 밀집한 대학 캠퍼스를 중심으로 현장 근로자들의 안전의식 제고에 초점을 맞췄다.
행사는 근로자들이 함께 참여하는 ‘안전 결의문’ 낭독과 ‘안전모 스티커 부착’ 행사 등 실천 중심 프로그램으로 진행됐다.
이날 현장에는 대구지방고용노동청을 비롯해 산업안전보건공단, 재해예방 기술지도기관, 발주처인 경북대학교 관계자들이 참석해 위험요인과 안전수칙을 공유하고, 캠퍼스 내 주요 공사 현장에 대한 합동 점검도 병행했다.
황종철 청장은 “봄철은 건설현장 사고 위험이 높아지는 시기인 만큼 작업 전 안전점검 등 기본 수칙 준수가 무엇보다 중요하다”며 “노사 주체가 함께 참여하는 안전문화 정착을 위해 지속적으로 지원해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
