이번 기부는 2023년에 이어 두 번째로, 오 센터장은 보은·옥천·영동의 산업 혁신과 중소기업 성장을 지원하는 책임자로서 그동안 여러 차례 남부권 고향사랑기부에 참여해왔다.
남부권혁신지원센터는 산업단지 환경개선, 스마트 제조 고도화, 청년창업 기반 확충 등 남부 3군을 대상으로 다양한 지역혁신 사업을 추진하고 있다. 특히 보은의 원물가공식품산업, 옥천의 묘목 산업, 영동의 와인 산업 등 지역별 특화 분야를 집중 지원하며 산업 생태계 확장에 기여하고 있다.
26일 옥천군청을 찾은 오 센터장은 “현장에서 지역의 성장을 지켜보는 한 사람으로, 남부 3군이 더 고르게 발전하는 데 마음을 보태고 싶었다”며 “앞으로도 지역 산업과 생활 여건 향상을 위한 지원과 협력을 아끼지 않겠다”고 전했다.
군 관계자는 따뜻한 참여에 감사를 전하며, 기부금을 주민 복지와 지역 활력 증진을 위한 기금사업에 사용할 계획이라고 밝혔다.
한편, 고향사랑기부제는 개인이 자신의 고향이나 관심 있는 지자체에 기부하면, 세액공제(10만원 까지 전액, 11~20만원 44%, 20만원 초과분의 16.5%)와 함께 기부금의 30% 내로 지역 특산품을 받을 수 있는 제도로, 기부자에게 실질적인 혜택을 제공한다는 점이 큰 특징이다.
