국민의힘 고양시장 경선후보인 홍흥석 예비후보가 30일 지축역 일대에서 출근길 시민들을 대상으로 거리 유세를 펼치며 본격적인 표심 공략에 나섰다.
이날 홍 예비후보는 지축·삼송지구의 만성적인 교통 문제를 정면으로 겨냥하며 ‘깨끗한 변화’를 핵심 메시지로 내세웠다.
현장에서 시민들과 직접 소통에 나선 그는 서울 접경 지역 특성상 교통 불편이 심각하다는 점을 강조하며, 이를 해결하기 위한 맞춤형 정책을 제시했다.

홍 예비후보는 우선 대중교통 사각지대 해소를 위한 지능형 셔틀버스 도입 계획을 밝혔다.
주요 거점과 서울을 연결하는 효율적인 셔틀 체계를 구축해 이동 편의를 획기적으로 개선하겠다는 구상이다.
아울러 인구 증가로 인해 발생하는 상습 정체 구간을 정비하고 도로망을 확충해 출퇴근 시간 단축을 이루겠다고 강조했다.
그는 “시민의 이동권 보장은 도시 경쟁력의 기본”이라며 “실질적인 도로망 개선을 통해 삶의 질을 높이겠다”고 말했다.
