세종시가 30일 시청 여민실에서 인적안전망 구성원 200여 명을 대상으로 ‘생명존중을 위한 인적안전망 역량강화 교육’을 가졌다.
인적안전망은 지역사회에서 위기대상자를 발굴·지원하는 읍면동지역사회보장협의체 위원, 명예사회복지공무원, 이웃연결단 등을 의미한다.
이번 교육은 위기대상자의 조기 발견과 신속한 대응을 위한 역량 강화로 세종시가 전체 인적안전망 구성원을 한 자리에 모아 생명존중 교육을 진행한 것은 이번이 처음이다.
이날 교육은 현장 적용이 가능한 ‘자살예방 생명지킴이 교육’과 의료·복지 전문가 특강 순으로 진행됐다.
자살예방 교육에서는 ▲자살위험 신호 발견 방법 ▲경청·공감 등 소통방법 ▲전문가 및 기관 연계 절차 등을 다뤘다.
이어진 전문가 특강에서는 ▲병원 이용방법 ▲요양병원과 요양원의 차이 등 실생활과 밀접한 의료·복지 정보를 이해하기 쉽게 전달했다.
시는 이번 교육을 통해 인적안전망 구성원들이 현장에서 위기 이웃을 먼저 알아보고 손을 내밀 수 있는 실질적인 역량을 강화할 수 있을 것으로 기대하고 있다.
최민호 시장은 “홀로 버티는 위기 이웃을 찾아내고 손을 잡아주는 여러분은 단순한 봉사자가 아닌, 안전한 세종을 조성하는 인적안전망 그 자체”라며 “이번 교육이 세종시 인적안전망 구성원의 용기와 역량을 한층 더 키워나가는 뜻깊은 시간이 되길 바란다”고 말했다.
