시는 ‘지속가능한 미래교육 협력도시’를 비전으로 지자체, 교육청, 대학, 기업이 협력하는 체계를 공고히 하고, 교육-취업-정주로 이어지는 선순환 교육 생태계를 구축하고 있다.
지난 2년간 시는 대학의 전문 교육 노하우를 지역 돌봄 현장에 접목해 공교육 혁신의 기반을 마련했다.
호암동 평생학습분관과 서충주도서관에서 운영된 ‘창의놀이터’는 누적 수혜 1,500여 명, 만족도 94%를 기록했으며, 충주시청소년수련원 연계 진로체험버스는 2,704명의 학생에게 직업 탐색 기회를 제공했다.
또한 국립한국교통대학교와 연계한 신산업 교육 프로그램은 학생 만족도 89%를 달성했다.
