[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국민의힘 부산시당이 30일 더불어민주당을 향해 ‘부산 글로벌허브도시 특별법’을 또다시 가로막았다며 "부산의 미래 성장과 시민들의 염원을 외면한 채 정치적 셈법만 앞세우고 있다"고 강도 높게 비판했다.
국민의힘 부산시당은 30일 논평을 통해 “민주당이 부산 글로벌허브도시 특별법을 또 막았다”며 “2년 가까이 몽니로 발목을 잡아온 끝에 간신히 상임위를 넘겼더니, 이제는 법사위 상정조차 못 하게 막아 세웠다”고 비난했다.
시당은 특히 민주당이 “국회법상 5일의 숙려기간 미충족”을 이유로 들었다는 점을 두고 “헌법재판소법, 중수청법 등 자신들의 입맛에 맞는 악법을 처리할 때는 숙려기간을 철저히 무시하지 않았느냐”며 “이제 와서 국회법 운운하는 건 궁색한 변명”이라고 비판했다.
또 “같은 날 상임위를 통과했던 공휴일법은 노동절이 코앞이라며 상정했으면서, 정작 지역 발전을 위한 특별법은 미룬 게 말이 되느냐”며 “부산 시민의 염원은 안중에도 없고 정치적 계산만 남은 처사”라고 성토했다.
이어 “민주당은 부산을 선거용 가십거리로만 활용하려는 잘못된 계략을 중단해야 한다”며 “2년 동안 시민들의 숙원사업을 뭉갠 만큼, 그 책임은 반드시 부산 시민의 심판으로 돌아갈 것”이라고 경고했다.
또한 시당은 전재수 민주당 의원을 겨냥해 “야당 의원더러 일 좀 하라던 오지랖을 이제는 민주당 스스로에게 돌려주겠다”며 “부산을 더 이상 괴롭히지 말고 제발 일 좀 하라”고 쏘아붙였다.

The People Power Party’s Busan chapter criticized the Democratic Party on Monday for once again blocking the Busan Global Hub City Special Act. The PPP condemned what it called “political obstruction,” saying the opposition’s tactics are stifling Busan’s development and betraying the will of its citizens.
In a statement issued on March 30, the PPP Busan branch said the Democratic Party “has once again halted” the Busan Global Hub City Special Act. The party argued that after overcoming two years of gridlock to pass the standing committee, the bill is now being stopped from even reaching the Legislation and Judiciary Committee.
The PPP dismissed the Democrats’ justification—that the five-day deliberation period required under the National Assembly Act had not been met—as an “empty excuse.” The statement added, “When it came to their own controversial bills, like the Constitutional Court Act and the Corruption Investigation Office Act, they ignored deliberation rules altogether. Their double standards are plain to see.”
The PPP also questioned why another bill that passed the same committee, the Public Holiday Act, was immediately tabled simply because Labor Day was near, while the Busan development bill was left behind. “Why is the rule applied so selectively?” the party asked. “Is regional growth less important than political convenience?”
“The Busan Global Hub City Act represents the aspirations of Busan’s citizens,” the statement continued. “If the Democratic Party keeps treating Busan as a political pawn while stalling its growth, it will face the people’s judgment.”
The PPP also singled out Democratic lawmaker Jeon Jae-soo, saying, “He once told opposition lawmakers to do their job. That advice now fits his own party perfectly. The Democrats must stop holding Busan back and start working for its future.”
