청사 이전 10주년을 기념해 타임캡슐 봉인식도 열렸다. 타임캡슐에는 청사 전경 사진, 주요 성과 기록, 교육공동체가 남긴 희망 메시지 등이 담겼다. 이 캡슐은 오는 2066년, 청사 이전 50주년에 개봉될 예정이다.

임종식 교육감은 “그동안 교육공동체와 함께 경북교육의 든든한 기반을 다져왔다”며 “앞으로도 학생 중심 교육을 이어가고, 경북교육이 세계교육의 표준이 될 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.
경북교육청은 이번 기념식을 계기로, 변화하는 교육환경에 발맞춘 세부 정책을 순차적으로 발표하고, 교육공동체와 소통하며 비전 실천에 박차를 가할 계획이다.
