(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 계양구가 1일, 서운일반산업단지의 활력을 회복하고 기업의 경쟁력을 강화하기 위해 입주업종 확대와 규제 완화를 골자로 한 ‘관리기본계획 변경’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.
계양구에 따르면, 서운동 225번지 일원에 위치한 서운일반산업단지는 약 524,970㎡ 규모로 2019년 9월에 준공된 이래 지역 경제의 핵심 거점 역할을 해왔으며, 현재 265개 기업이 입주해 금속 가공, 전자 부품, 기계 및 장비 제조업 등을 중심으로 운영되고 있다.
이번 변경은 최근 입주기업의 매출액과 고용 인원 감소로 인해 약화된 산업단지의 성장성을 회복하고, 급변하는 산업 환경에 맞춰 기업 지원 기능을 보완하기 위해 마련됐다.
계양구는 기업 지원 및 산업단지 활성화를 위한 설문조사 결과를 반영해 입주 가능한 업종을 기존보다 6개 늘려 총 19개 업종으로 확대한다.
특히, 신재생에너지 보급 확대를 위해 건축물 옥상 등에 태양력 발전업을 허용하고, 한국자산관리공사가 입주기업의 재무구조 개선을 지원하는 경우에는 비거주용 건물 임대업을 허용하는 등 기업 지원 기능을 대폭 강화했다.
또한, 규제 문턱도 낮아진다.
용도지구(공항시설물보호지구) 폐지에 따른 관련 조례 변경 사항을 반영해, 그동안 입주가 제한됐던 지정폐기물 배출 업체라도 전량 위탁 처리하는 경우에는 입주가 가능하도록 기준을 합리적으로 개선했다.
또, 업종 배치를 통합해 기업 간 융·복합 산업 발굴을 유도하고 유연한 산업 생태계를 구축할 방침이다.
이와 함께 산업단지의 대외 이미지를 높이기 위해 ‘미라클파크’ 브랜드를 도입한다.
앞으로 기존 명칭과 ‘미라클파크서운’을 병행 표기하여 명품 산업단지로서의 정체성을 강화할 계획이다.
계양구는 4월 중 인천광역시에 관리기본계획 변경 승인을 신청하고, 행정 절차를 신속히 밟아 같은 달 내에 최종 승인 고시가 이뤄지도록 할 예정이다.
