[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시상권활성화재단은 오는 4월 4일부터 진주고용복지플러스센터 뒤편에서 ‘2026년 올빰토요야시장’을 개장한다고 1일 밝혔다.
올빰토요야시장은 전통시장과 원도심 상권 활성화를 위해 지난 2022년부터 운영된 진주시 대표 야간 관광 콘텐츠로 시민과 관광객이 함께 찾는 명소로 자리잡고 있다.
올해 야시장에는 15개 매대가 참여하며 야끼누들, 피자핫도그, 소금빵, 불초밥, 가문어대파꼬지 등 다양한 신규 먹거리가 추가돼 방문객들에게 선보일 예정이다.
또 행사기간에는 동안 버스킹 공연과 시민 참여형 거리노래방, 추억의 놀이존이 매주 운영하고 진맥 페스타와 올빰가요제 등 월별 테마 이벤트도 함께 마련돼 즐거움을 더할 계획이다.
특히 진주시는 행사를 진행하면서 스탬프 투어와 영수증 인증 이벤트를 진행해 인근 전통시장과 상점가 방문을 유도하고 야시장과 주변 상권의 연계를 강화해 원도심 활성화를 도모할 방침이다.
진주시상권활성화재단 관계자는 “올빰토요야시장이 먹거리 중심을 넘어 지역 상권과 문화가 결합된 야간 축제로 자리매김하길 바란다”며 시민들의 많은 관심을 당부했다.
한편 올빰토요야시장은 오는 4일부터 10월 31일까지 매주 토요일 오후 6시부터 11시까지 운영되며 7월에는 장마와 무더위로 인해 한 달간 휴장할 예정이다.
