【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군보건소가 요양시설을 중심으로 감염병 공동 대응체계를 구축하고 예방 중심 관리에 나섰다.
군 보건소는 지역 내 장기요양시설 17개소를 대상으로 ‘요양시설 감염관리 비상협의체’를 구성해 감염병 발생 시 신속하고 체계적인 공동 대응이 가능한 협력체계를 마련했다고 밝혔다.
협의체에는 보건소와 군 관련 부서, 의료전문가, 시설 관계자 등이 참여해 감염병 발생 상황에 대한 정보를 공유하고 대응 방안을 협의하는 역할을 맡는다.
감염병 유행 시에는 즉각적인 공동 대응을 통해 집단감염 확산을 최소화하고, 평상시에는 감염관리 현황을 점검하며 예방 중심 관리체계를 강화하게 된다.
이와 함께 군 보건소는 감염취약시설의 감염관리 역량 강화를 위해 지난 31일 지역 내 감염취약시설 24개소를 대상으로 감염관리 교육도 실시했다.
충청북도 감염병관리지원단과 협력해 진행된 이번 교육에서는 손 위생과 개인보호구 착·탈의 방법, 감염병 전파 경로별 예방수칙, 확진자 발생 시 초기 대응 요령 등 현장에서 즉시 활용할 수 있는 실무 중심 내용이 다뤄졌다.
또 시설구조와 동선, 환기 및 격리공간 등을 점검하고 개선 방안을 제시하는 현장 중심 감염관리 컨설팅도 추진한다.
이를 위해 군 보건소는 컨설팅 대상 시설 2개소를 선정했으며, 오는 4월 13일 컨설팅을 통해 맞춤형 개선 방안을 제시할 계획이다.
보건소 관계자는 “요양시설은 감염 취약계층이 생활하는 공간인 만큼 감염병 발생 시 피해가 크게 확대될 수 있다”며 “비상협의체 운영과 교육, 현장 컨설팅을 통해 예방 중심의 대응체계를 강화하고 어르신들이 보다 안전한 환경에서 생활할 수 있도록 관리에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
