평택시의회,‘원심창 의사 제93주년 육삼정 의거 및 4.1 만세 기념식’참석

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=평택 이현준기자] 평택시의회는 4월 1일 원심창 의사 제93주년 육삼정 의거 및 4.1 만세 기념식에 참석해 원심창 의사의 항일정신을 기렸다.

원심창의사기념사업회 주관으로 진행된 이번 기념식은 식전 공연을 시작으로 나라사랑 퍼포먼스와 약사 보고 및 만세 삼창 순으로 이어졌으며 부용산 4.1 만세 재연 행사가 마련되어 그 의미를 더했다.

김명숙 부의장은 자유와 평화를 위해 헌신한 원심창 의사의 숭고한 희생이 오늘날 우리가 누리는 자유와 민주주의의 밑거름이 되었음을 되새기게 된다고 말했다. 또한 이번 기념식을 계기로 선열들의 고귀한 희생과 애국정신을 이어받아 미래 세대에 올바르게 전하는 데 노력하겠다고 밝혔다.

한편 육삼정 의거는 1933년 3월 17일 원심창과 백정기 및 이강훈 의사가 중국 상하이의 음식점 육삼정에서 일본 주중 공사 암살을 시도한 사건이다. 이는 해외 3대 의거 중 하나로 꼽히며 국내외 항일 운동에 큰 영향을 끼친 역사적 사건으로 평가받는다.
