[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 의령군이 제31회 한국지방자치경영대상 기관종합평가에서 ‘지역개발 부문 대상’을 수상하며 3년 연속 수상의 쾌거를 이뤘다.

이번 수상은 교통·도시 기반 확충과 지역개발 분야에서 추진해 온 혁신 정책 성과가 전국적으로 높은 평가를 받은 결과다.

시상식은 3월 31일 서울 공군호텔에서 열렸으며, 한국공공자치연구원이 주관했다. 한국지방자치경영대상은 1996년 제정된 국내 대표 지방자치 시상제도로, 지방자치단체의 경영 성과를 종합적으로 평가해 우수 지자체를 선정하고 있다.

의령군은 △우리동네 살리기 사업 공모 선정 △일반농산어촌개발사업 추진 △주민 공동체 거점 조성 △주거환경 개선 △도로 및 교통 인프라 확충 △교통안전 및 위험도로 구조개선 등 지속가능한 도시환경 조성과 생활 인프라 확충 성과에서 높은 평가를 받았다.

또한 불법 광고물 정비, 현수막 청정거리 지정·운영, 지역 특화 요소를 반영한 ‘부자 명품 백리길’ 조성, 농촌 취약계층 주거개선사업 등 쾌적한 지역 환경 조성을 위한 다양한 정책도 수상에 기여했다.

한편 의령군은 2024년 주민자치 부문 대상, 2025년 기관종합평가 문화관광 부문 대상에 이어 올해 지역개발 부문 대상까지 3년 연속 수상하며 성과를 이어가고 있다.
