한국한의약진흥원은 ‘소량소비 한약재 규격화 사업’에 참여할 생산기관을 오는 4월 10일까지 공모한다고 밝혔다.
이번 사업은 수요 대비 생산과 유통이 부족한 한약재를 대상으로 규격품 생산을 지원해 의료 현장에서의 활용도를 높이기 위해 마련됐다. 그동안 소량 소비 품목은 수요 예측의 어려움과 재고 부담 등으로 민간 생산이 기피되면서 일부 품목은 공급이 제한되는 문제가 지속돼 왔다.
진흥원은 공공 지원을 통해 생산 리스크를 완화하고 안정적인 공급 기반을 구축한다는 방침이다.
올해 사업에는 총 2억 1천만 원의 예산이 투입되며, 수요조사와 전문가 자문을 거쳐 선정된 30개 품목의 생산을 지원할 계획이다. 공모에 선정된 생산기관은 품목별 규격품을 생산한 뒤 품질 기준 충족 여부에 대한 검수 절차를 거쳐 시장에 공급하게 된다. 진흥원은 생산 이후 유통과 홍보도 함께 지원할 예정이다.
공모 대상은 식품의약품안전처로부터 한약재 제조업소 허가를 받은 규격품 제조업소를 포함한 관련 기관 및 기업으로, 단독 또는 컨소시엄 형태로 참여할 수 있다.
