(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 지난 2024년 4월 27일부터 시행된 맹견사육허가제의 계도기간을 오는 12월 31일까지 연장해 운영한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 맹견사육허가제는 개물림 사고를 예방하고 반려견과 시민이 함께 안전하게 생활할 수 있는 환경을 조성하기 위해 도입된 제도로, 맹견의 공격성과 소유자의 통제 능력 등을 평가해 허가 여부를 결정함으로써 사육자의 책임을 강화하고 안전관리 체계를 확립하는데 목적이 있다.
