【충북 브레이크뉴스】임창용 기자=청주대학교가 고용노동부 등이 추진하는 국가인적자원개발컨소시엄 ‘AI특화 공동훈련센터’ 공모에 최종 선정됐다.
청주대 산학협력단은 고용노동부와 한국산업인력공단이 추진하는 ‘AI특화 공동훈련센터’ 공모에 (사)이노비즈협회 충북지회와 ‘공동참여형’ 유형으로 선정돼 올해부터 2028년까지 국비 15억원을 지원받아 중부권(대전·충북·충남) 중견·중소기업의 체계적인 인공지능 전환(AX)을 지원한다고 2일 밝혔다.
AI 특화 공동훈련센터는 우수한 인프라를 갖춘 지역 내 대학, 기업 등이 협약기업 재직자를 대상으로 산업현장 맞춤형 인공지능(AI) 훈련을 제공하는 사업이다.
고용노동부와 한국산업인력공단은 공모를 통해 ‘5극 3특’ 지역 AI특화 공동훈련센터 20개소를 선정했다.
충북지역 대학에서는 청주대가 유일하게 선발됐다.
청주대는 이번 공모에서 충청권 중소·중견기업의 AX 전환을 위한 진단과 훈련, 현장 정착, 확산까지 완주하는 ‘초광역 실무형 인재·성과 허브 구축’이란 비전을 제시했다.
앞으로 대학이 보유한 첨단 인프라를 개방하고, 전문가를 연계해 현장 지향적인 교육 운영에 나설 방침이다.
이를 통해 경영층부터 현장 핵심 인력까지 단계별 훈련 로드맵을 제공해 도입 초기 발생할 수 있는 비용을 절감하고 기간 단축 등 성과 창출로, AX 성공모델의 전국적 확산과 인재 정주 여건 개선에 나설 계획이다.
아울러 지역별 주력 산업을 연계해 충청권 AX 허브 역할까지도 수행한다는 복안이다.
김윤배 총장은 “이번 사업 선정은 우리 대학이 지역 산업의 AI 전환을 선도하는 핵심 기관임을 입증한 결과”라며 “지역 중소기업들이 AI 기술을 실무에 즉각 도입해 경쟁력을 높일 수 있도록 양질의 교육 프로그램을 제공하고, 산학협력의 성공 모델을 만들어 나가겠다”고 말했다.
