【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 저출생과 고령화, 1인 가구 증가 등 급격한 인구구조 변화에 대응하기 위한 2026년 인구정책 시행계획을 확정하고 본격적인 추진에 나선다.
군은 지난달 31일 군청 소회의실에서 인구정책 추진위원회를 열고 ‘함께 성장하며 새로운 미래를 여는 증평’을 비전으로 한 2026년 인구정책 시행계획안을 심의했다.
이번 시행계획은 4대 전략, 12개 추진과제, 59개 세부사업으로 구성됐다.
생애주기 전반을 고려한 맞춤형 정책을 통해 인구 감소에 대응하는 동시에 정주 여건을 개선하고 지속 가능한 지역 발전 기반을 마련하는 데 초점을 맞췄다.
세부적으로는 △아이 키우기 좋은 행복 도시 조성 △미래 인재 양성 및 사회참여 기반 조성 △건강하고 안전한 노후 기반 구축 △모두가 살기 좋은 증평 구현 등 4대 전략을 중심으로 다양한 인구 대응 정책을 추진한다.
특히 연령대별·가구 유형별 특성을 반영한 맞춤형 정책을 강화하고, 돌봄·교육·주거·생활환경 등 주민 삶과 직결된 분야의 정책 연계를 통해 인구 대응 체계를 더욱 촘촘히 구축해 나갈 방침이다.
김두환 부군수는 “인구구조 변화는 단순한 인구 감소 문제가 아니라 지역의 존립과 직결되는 구조적 과제”라며 “군민의 의견을 바탕으로 생애주기 전반을 아우르는 종합적 대응을 통해 변화에 유연하게 대응하는 정책을 추진해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
한편, 인구정책 추진위원회는 ‘증평군 인구증가 정책에 관한 조례’에 따라 17명의 위원으로 구성돼 증평군 인구정책 전반에 대한 사항을 심의·의결하는 역할을 맡고 있다.
