포천시는 지난 1일 일동면 기산리 일원에서 어린이와 청소년, 어르신을 하나로 잇는 세대이음 교육문화복합공간 ‘두런두런 일동’의 개관식을 성황리에 개최했다고 밝혔다.
이번에 문을 연 ‘두런두런 일동’은 상대적으로 부족했던 지역 간 공공 인프라 격차를 해소하기 위해 야심 차게 기획된 복합 문화·교육 시설이다. 특히, 단절되기 쉬운 세대 간의 벽을 허물고 주민들이 자연스럽게 소통하고 교류할 수 있는 ‘지역 커뮤니티 거점 공간’을 조성하는 데 중점을 두었다.
해당 시설은 부지면적 4,785㎡, 연면적 2,999㎡에 달하는 지하 1층, 지상 4층 규모의 웅장한 자태를 자랑한다. 건물 내부에는 청소년문화의집, 어린이집, 노인대학 및 노인복지 공간 등 각 세대를 아우르는 맞춤형 이용 시설이 알차게 들어섰다.

여기에 다목적강당, 공연장, 문화카페, 청소년 활동 및 심리 상담 공간 등 다채로운 문화·교육 인프라를 한데 모아, 명실상부한 복합시설로서의 기능을 완벽하게 갖췄다.
