두타산 삼형제봉 일대는 매년 봄 진달래가 만개하는 시기에 많은 등산객과 관광객이 찾는 대표 명소로, 이번 정비를 통해 더욱 쾌적하고 안전한 산행 환경을 갖추게 됐다.
군은 초평호 주변 꽃섬과 삼형제봉, 한반도 지형 전망대 등 두타산 일대를 연계한 관광자원 개발을 지속적으로 추진하며, 자연경관과 휴식 공간을 함께 즐길 수 있는 체류형 관광지 조성에 박차를 가하고 있다.
특히 지난해부터 추진해 온 등산로 정비 사업을 통해 특화 둘레길을 조성하고, 신규 등산로를 개설하는 등 관광 인프라를 대폭 확충했다.
이와 함께 한반도 지형과 꽃섬을 한눈에 조망할 수 있는 전망데크를 설치해 방문객들에게 색다른 볼거리를 제공하고 있다.
