(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천 서구가 최근 김성환 기후에너지환경부 장관과 함께 관내 종량제봉투 생산 현장인 서구 구립 장애인직업재활시설을 방문해 원료 수급 현황을 점검하고 안정적인 공급 체계를 확인했다고 밝혔다.
서구에 따르면, 이번 방문은 최근 중동 전쟁 장기화에 따른 나프타 등 석유화학 제품의 수급 불안정에 대비하여 종량제봉투의 제작 상황을 살피고 현장의 목소리를 듣기 위해 마련됐다.
참석자들은 종량제봉투 생산 공정 전반을 둘러보며 재생원료 활용 현황과 완제품 상태를 직접 점검했다.
이어진 간담회에서는 한국프라스틱공업협동조합 등 관련 업계의 애로사항을 청취하고 수급 안정화 방안 및 재생 원료 사용 확대 방안 등에 대해 논의했다.
강범석 서구청장은 이 자리에서 관내 종량제봉투 수급 상황과 대응 방안을 공유하고, “원자재 가격 변동 등 대외적인 환경 변화 속에서도 구민들이 종량제봉투 사용에 불편을 겪지 않도록 하는 것이 최우선”임을 강조하며 협조를 구했다.
정부 측에서도 현재 전국적인 종량제봉투 재고는 충분한 상황임을 설명하며 지자체 간 물량 조정과 합동 상황반 운영을 통해 수급 관리를 강화하겠다고 밝혔다.
서구청 관계자는 “중앙정부의 수급 안정화 대책에 발맞추어 서구 역시 종량제봉투 공급에 차질이 없도록 수급 관리와 현장 지도 점검을 지속해 나갈 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
