남동구가 6일, ‘돌봄통합지원법’ 시행에 발맞춰 지역사회 중심의 ‘남동드림 통합돌봄사업’을 본격 가동하며 복지 사각지대 해소에 나서고 있다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면 돌봄 공백 시 기존에는 일일이 기관을 찾아가 서비스를 신청해야 했지만, 이제는 동 행정복지센터에 도움을 요청하면 한 번에 가능하다.
앞선 사례의 경우 구는 배우자의 부재 시간을 고려해 남동구 특화사업인 ‘돌봐드림(일상생활 지원)’과 낙상 예방을 위한 ‘고쳐드림(주거환경 개선)’ 서비스를 우선 지원하고, ‘장기요양 서비스’ 신청도 연계 지원할 예정이다.
통합돌봄은 돌봄이 필요한 주민이 시설이 아닌 살던 곳에서 건강하고 안정적인 삶을 유지하도록 의료·요양·돌봄 서비스를 통합적으로 제공하는 제도이다.
특히, 남동구는 통합돌봄 대상자에게 의료·요양·돌봄 서비스를 유기적으로 연계하는 것은 물론 기존 서비스 공백을 메우기 위해 지역 특성을 반영한 ‘남동드림 통합돌봄 지역특화서비스’를 포함해 총 50개 이상의 서비스를 연계․제공한다.

이를 위해 남동구는 보건·복지·의료기관 간 협력체계를 강화하고, 대상자별 맞춤형 개인별 지원계획 수립과 통합지원 회의를 통해 촘촘한 지역 돌봄망을 구축할 계획이다.
박종효 남동구청장은 “이번 사업을 통해 구민이 평소 살던 곳에서 소외되지 않고 편안한 생활을 유지할 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 핵심”이라며 “보건과 복지, 의료기관 간의 견고한 협력체계를 바탕으로 사각지대 없는 통합돌봄 실현에 총력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
이어 “앞으로도 지속적인 홍보와 유관기관 협력을 통해 통합돌봄 모델이 지역사회에 안정적으로 정착할 수 있도록 행정력을 집중하겠다”고 덧붙였다.
