(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청이 최근 제물포AI융합교육센터에서 구글 포 에듀케이션(Google for Education)과 교육청 담당자 등이 참여한 가운데 ‘읽걷쓰AI 협력 공동 워크숍’을 운영했다고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청에 따르면, 이번 워크숍은 지난 3월 24일 발표한 ‘인천 AI교육 공동선언’의 취지를 바탕으로 인천 AI교육이 지향하는 읽걷쓰AI의 현장 적용 및 발전 방안을 모색하기 위해 마련했다.
워크숍 세션은 인천시교육청의 읽걷쓰AI에 대한 소개를 시작으로, 구글이 각국 정부와 교육기관의 AI교육 전략 수립을 지원하는 글로벌 정책 협력 프로그램인 Google AI Policy Lab의 주요 사례를 공유하는 시간을 가졌다.
또, 교육청 관계자들과 구글의 전문 퍼실리테이터들이 소그룹으로 읽걷쓰AI의 현장 안착을 위한 부서별 역할과 지원 방안 등에 대한 토의를 진행했다.
이어진 교육감 간담회에서는 글로벌 AI교육 정책 사례를 통해 확인된 시사점이 읽걷쓰AI의 방향과 맞닿아 있다는 점에 대한 이해를 나누고, 향후 글로벌 정책 협력 과정에서의 활용 가능성 등을 함께 살펴보았다.
워크숍에 참여한 구글 포 에듀케이션 관계자는“읽걷쓰AI는 인간다움과 자기주도성을 중심에 둔 AI교육 방향이라는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “읽걷쓰AI의 실천 사례가 향후 Google AI Policy Lab의 글로벌 정책 협력 과정에서도 의미 있는 참고 사례가 될 수 있기를 기대한다”고 밝혔다.
인천시교육청은 앞으로도 AI교육에 대한 현장의 목소리를 적극 반영하여 학교 현장에 안정적으로 안착할 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원해 나갈 계획이다.

The Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education announced that it recently held a ‘Joint Workshop on Read, Walk, and Write AI Cooperation’ at the Jemulpo AI Convergence Education Center, with the participation of Google for Education and officials from the Office of Education.
