[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 6일 시청 3층 회의실에서 공공기관 유치 전략 마련과 주요 현안 논의를 위해 ‘공공기관 유치위원회’ 간담회를 개최했다.
이날 간담회는 조규일 시장과 백승흥 시의회 의장, 허성두 상공회의소 회장 등 공동위원장을 포함한 26명의 위원이 참석해 공공기관 유치 전략과 협력 방안을 집중 논의했다.
간담회는 공공기관 2차 이전과 관련한 진주시 유치 현황을 공유하고, 유치 대상 기관과 중점 전략, 향후 대응 방안 등에 대해 다양한 의견을 교환하며 실질적인 추진 방향을 모색했다.
이날 위원들은 경남진주혁신도시가 인구 증가와 소비 기반 확대, 한국산업기술시험원 연계 우주·항공 성과 등으로 전국 혁신도시의 모범 사례로 자리매김하고 있다는 데 공감했다.
또 위원들은 공원과 도로 등 기반시설과 함께 2026년 복합문화도서관 준공, 오는 2028년 대곡고 신설 등으로 문화·교육·체육 여건 등 정주환경 경쟁력이 크게 향상될 것으로 기대했다.
