시에 따르면 지난 4월 1일부터 5일까지 열린 이번 축제는 ‘벚꽃, 오늘이 제일 예쁜 날’을 주제로 체류형 콘텐츠와 감성 체험 프로그램을 대폭 강화해 방문객 만족도를 높였다.
축제 기간 만개한 벚꽃이 봄 정취를 더한 가운데, ‘벚꽃 따라 철길 여행’ 걷기행사를 비롯해 가족 단위 관광객과 어린이집·학교 단체 방문객이 시간대별로 고르게 유입되며 행사장 전반에 활기를 불어넣었다.
특히 올해는 평일 낮 시간대 방문객이 눈에 띄게 증가하면서 인근 식당가와 푸드트럭이 붐비는 등 지역 상권 활성화에도 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다.
