[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 7일 시청 시민홀에서 ‘제25회 진주논개제 추진상황 보고회’를 열고 부서별 추진 현황과 문제점을 점검해 성공적인 행사 개최 방안을 논의했다고 밝혔다.
시는 연휴 기간 관광객 증가에 대비해 친절하고 청결한 손님맞이와 자원봉사자 교육을 강화하고 방문객들이 안전하고 편리하게 축제를 즐길 수 있도록 운영 준비에 만전을 기할 방침이다.
또 시는 행사장별 안전대책과 보험 가입, 안전요원 배치를 강화하고 진주경찰서와 진주소방서 등과 협력해 교통 통제와 인파 관리 등 안전사고 예방에 총력을 기울일 계획이다.
제25회 진주논개제는 오는 5월 2일 ‘의암별제’를 시작으로 5일까지 진주성과 진주대첩 역사공원 일원에서 열리며 다양한 공연과 체험 프로그램을 제공할 예정이다.
