브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 이마트가 임직원의 자발적인 기부와 헌혈 참여로 소아암 환자들의 치료비 경감을 위해 나섰다.
이마트는 7일 한국백혈병어린이재단에 이마트 임직원이 헌혈에 참여하고 기증한 헌혈증서 2000장과 후원금 1000만원을 전달했다고 밝혔다.
이마트가 기부한 헌혈증서는 수혈이 필요한 소아암 환자 가족에게 전달되며, 후원금은 지방 거주 소아암 어린이들 치료 시 임시 거주를 위한 쉼터 운영에 사용될 예정이다.
한편, 이마트는 2013년부터 사내에서 모인 기부금과 임직원이 기증한 헌혈증서를 기부해오고 있다. 현재까지 기부된 헌혈증 수는 4만5000장을 넘어섰다.
