[브레이크뉴스=황민성 기자] 남해군을 대표하는 걷기 여행길 ‘남해바래길’이 1,000번째 완보자를 배출하며 상징적인 이정표를 세웠다.
2020년 완보인증제 시범운영을 시작으로 현재까지 누적 완보자가 1,000명을 넘어선 것이다.
남해바래길 완보인증제는 본선과 지선, 섬 지선 코스를 포함한 전 구간을 모두 걸은 탐방객에게 남해바래길 전용 앱을 통해 인증을 진행하고 완보인증서와 기념품 등을 수여하는 제도다.
또한 남해바래길은 지난 2월 문화체육관광부가 주관하는 ‘로컬100(지역문화매력 100선)’2기에 최종 선정되며 그 가치를 다시 한 번 인정받았다.
전체 완보자 중 약 83%가 관외 방문객으로, 전국 각지에서 남해바래길을 찾고 있는 것으로 나타났다.
완보까지 걸리는 평균 소요일은 16일이며, 완보 목적 1위는 ‘남해를 잘 알고 싶어서’로 조사됐다.
