【브레이크뉴스 포항】박영재 기자=전국금속노조 포항지부 현대제철지회(지회장 송재만)와 지역 대표 웨딩·컨벤션 기업 더퀸/퀸즈테이블(대표 장기현)이 조합원 복지 향상을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
8일 오후 포항시 남구 퀸즈테이블에서 열린 협약식은 현대제철 지회와 현대IMC지회 조합원 및 가족들에게 고품격 웨딩·연회 서비스를 보다 합리적인 비용으로 제공하기 위해 마련됐다.
이번 협약에 따라 현대제철 포항지회 소속 임직원과 조합원, 직계가족은 ‘더퀸’ 웨딩홀 이용 시 예식홀 대관료와 패키지 상품에 대한 특별 할인 혜택을 받게 된다. 식대 역시 기존보다 낮은 가격으로 제공된다. 또한 ‘퀸즈테이블’의 프리미엄 상설 뷔페를 할인된 금액으로 이용할 수 있어 실질적인 복지 체감도가 높아질 것으로 기대된다.
더퀸은 5층 크라운홀과 6층 갤럭시홀 등 다양한 규모의 웨딩홀을 갖추고 있으며, 3·4층에는 소규모 가족 모임부터 대형 연회까지 가능한 공간을 운영하고 있다. 이에 따라 결혼식뿐 아니라 돌잔치, 회갑연, 기업 행사 등 다양한 용도로 활용이 가능하다.
현대제철 노조 측은 향후 사내 행사와 교육, 각종 모임에서 더퀸 시설을 우선적으로 활용하는 등 협력을 확대해 나갈 방침이다.
현대제철지회 송재만 지회장은 “조합원과 가족들이 중요한 인생의 순간을 보다 좋은 환경에서 부담 없이 준비할 수 있게 됐다”며 “체감할 수 있는 복지 확대를 지속적으로 추진하겠다”고 말했다.
더퀸/퀸즈테이블 장기현 대표는 “지역 산업을 이끄는 현대제철 임직원들에게 품격 있는 서비스로 보답하겠다”며 “지역과 함께 성장하는 상생 모델을 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
이와 함께 협약의 수혜 대상인 조합원 가족들도 기대감을 나타냈다. 한 조합원 배우자는 “결혼식이나 가족 행사를 준비할 때 비용 부담이 가장 컸는데, 이번 협약으로 훨씬 여유 있게 준비할 수 있을 것 같다”며 “지역에서 수준 높은 서비스를 합리적인 가격에 이용할 수 있어 만족스럽다”고 말했다.
또 다른 조합원은 “회사 복지가 실질적으로 생활에 도움이 되는 방향으로 확대되고 있다는 점에서 의미가 크다”며 “가족들도 함께 혜택을 받을 수 있어 체감도가 높다”고 전했다.
이번 협약은 2년간 유지되며, 상호 협의를 통해 매년 연장될 예정이다. 지역 산업과 서비스 기업 간 협력을 통한 상생 사례로서 긍정적인 평가가 기대된다.

Along with this, the families of the union members, who are the beneficiaries of the agreement, also expressed their anticipation. The spouse of one member said, “The financial burden used to be the biggest challenge when preparing for weddings or family events, but thanks to this agreement, I think I will be able to prepare much more comfortably.” They added, “I am satisfied that I can access high-quality local services at reasonable prices.”
Another member stated, “It is significant that company welfare is expanding in a way that provides tangible help to our daily lives,” and added, “The benefits are felt more acutely because my family can also receive them.”
