현대차는 시연 행사에서 친환경 차량 ST1 기반의 스마트 수거차 2대(덤핑형, 무빙플로어형)로 재활용품을 수거 및 적재하고 운반하는 작업을 선보였다.
ST1 덤핑형 스마트 수거차는 위아래 슬라이딩 방식으로 개폐하는 적재함 측면문과 낮은 지상고를 갖췄다. 작업자는 차량 옆면에서 재활용품을 손쉽게 차에 실을 수 있으며 간단한 스위치 조작으로 적재물을 내릴 수 있다.
ST1 무빙플로어형 스마트 수거차는 적재함 바닥 레일의 전·후 이동이 가능해 작업자가 차량에 오르지 않고도 재활용품의 상·하차가 가능해 협소한 공간에서도 무거운 재활용품을 적재 및 하역하기 편리하다.

현대차는 작업자가 착용 로봇 ‘엑스블 숄더(X-ble Shoulder)’를 입고 폐기물을 적재하는 모습도 선보였다.

현대차는 10월까지 6개월간 성북구에서 ST1 기반 친환경 스마트 수거차 2대를 활용해 실증사업을 진행하고 정식 사업화 및 도입 지역 확대를 추진할 방침이다.
현대차 관계자는 “이번 실증사업을 통해 대기오염과 소음으로부터 도시를 보호하고 거주민의 만족도 향상은 물론 탄소중립 실현에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다”며 “친환경 스마트 수거차 뿐만 아니라 다양한 PBV 개발을 통해 고객 맞춤형 비즈니스 설루션을 제공할 수 있도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
