경기도와 경기콘텐츠진흥원이 지역 영화 생태계의 자생력을 높이기 위해 추진하는 ‘2026년 경기도 소규모영화제 지원’ 사업의 대상지로 최종 6개 영화제를 선정했다.
올해 공모는 5대 1이라는 높은 경쟁률을 기록하며 도내 소규모 영화제들의 뜨거운 관심을 확인했다. 이번 사업은 대규모 상업영화 중심의 상영 환경에서 벗어나 독립·예술영화의 유통 창구를 넓히고, 각 지역의 고유한 색깔을 담은 문화 콘텐츠를 육성하는 데 목적을 두고 있다.
심사 결과에 따라 선정된 영화제들은 ‘집중지원’과 ‘일반지원’ 부문으로 나뉘어 운영비와 홍보비 등을 차등 지원받는다. 집중지원 부문에는 용인의 ‘머내마을영화제’와 ‘부천노동영화제’가 이름을 올렸으며, 일반지원 부문에는 고양의 ‘마침 내 극장’, 양평의 ‘양평징검다리영화제’, 남양주의 ‘온맘영화제’, 화성의 ‘화성마을영화제’가 각각 선발됐다. 경기도는 단순 예산 지원을 넘어 전문가 멘토링 등을 병행해 각 영화제의 내실을 다질 계획이다.
