이재명 대통령이 9일 "가장 시급한 과제는 현재 호르무즈 해협에 발 묶인 한국 선원·선박들을 안전하게 귀환시키는 일"이라고 했다.
이 대통령은 이날 오후 청와대에서 열린 제29차 수석보좌관회의 모두 발언에서 이같이 말한 후 "가진 외교 역량·네트워크를 총동원해 국제사회와의 긴밀한 공조를 바탕으로 적극 협의에 나서 달라"고 지시했다.
그러면서 "미·이란이 2주간 휴전에 합의하면서 악화일로로 치닫던 중동 전황이 새 국면을 맞고 있다"면서 "아직 결과를 낙관하기 이르며 순조롭게 협상이 이뤄진다 해도 전쟁 충격이 상당 기간 계속될 우려가 높다"고 주장했다.
또 "정부는 긴장 끈을 조금도 놓지 말고 발생 가능한 모든 시나리오에 따른 준비된 대책들을 더욱 세밀·선제적으로 추진해야 한다"며 "플라스틱·비닐·의료용품 등 최근 수급 우려가 불거진 품목들 안정 관리에도 만전을 기해 달라"고 했다.
이어 "중동 전쟁이 언제 어떤 방식으로 마무리되든 전쟁 이전 이후는 전혀 다른 세계가 열리게 될 것"이라며 "에너지 수급처 다변화·재생에너지 중심 사회 전환·산업구조 혁신에 속도 내고 초인공지능·차세대 SMR·인공지능·로봇 등 미래 성장 동력 육성에도 더욱 박차를 가해야 될 것"이라고 했다.
더불어 "지방 주도 모두 성장으로의 대전환은 경제의 지속·질적 도약을 위한 필수 조건"이라며 "지방 균형 발전은 국가 생존 전략이라 해도 과언 아니며 현대차 새만금 투자 같은 대규모 지방 투자 프로젝트를 지속할 뿐만 아닌 중장기 재정 전략도 지방 우대 원칙을 견조하게 이어가야 한다"고 주장했다.
이 대통령은 공무원 추가 근무 관련해선 "연장·야근·휴일·주말 근무 시 제대로 대가를 지불하도록 하라"며 "공무원들은 초과 근무 한도가 있고, 초과 근무 필요 없는 사람들이 쓸데없이 초과 근무할 경우 대비 만들어놨는데 마치 당연히 그 시간을 채워 보상해 주는 걸로 알고 있다"고 했다.
또 "꼭 야근 안 해도 되는, 주말 근무 안 해도 되는 사람들이 그 시간만큼 또 하는 경향이 없지 않고 좀 바꿔야 한다"며 "제안해 놓고 쓸데없이 안 해도 될 사람이 그 시간 다 초과 근무하고, 해야 할 사람은 그 이상 하면서도 인정 못 받는 건 이상한데 개선책이 필요하다"고 덧붙였다.
