이번 협약은 행정안전부 ‘지방보조금 관리기준’ 개정으로 지방보조금 전용계좌 개설이 가능한 금융기관 범위가 확대됨에 따라 추진됐다. 이에 따라 제천시 관내 새마을금고에서도 지방보조금 전용계좌 개설이 가능해졌다.
최승환 권한대행은 “이번 협약을 통해 보조사업자의 전용계좌 개설 접근성과 편의성이 향상될 것으로 기대한다”라며 “새마을금고와의 협력을 바탕으로 보조사업자에게 보다 나은 행정서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 노력하겠다”라고 말했다.
