【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천군은 여름철 집중호우와 태풍 등 자연재난으로 인한 인명피해를 예방하기 위해 기존 인명피해 우려지역을 점검하고, 신규 지정을 위한 현장점검을 진행하고 있다고 9일 밝혔다.
군은 기존 인명피해 우려지역 2개소를 대상으로 통제시설 운영 상황과 위험요인 등을 중점적으로 점검해 관리 실태를 확인했다.
아울러 재해 사각지대 해소를 위해 재해 취약지역에 대한 현장점검을 병행하며 신규 지정 대상 발굴에 나서고 있다.
이번 점검은 자연재해위험개선지구를 중심으로 실시됐으며, 해당 지역 내 인명피해 발생 가능 구간과 통제·대피 여건 등을 면밀히 확인했다.
특히 자연재해위험개선지구 내·외부의 위험요인을 종합적으로 분석해 인명피해 우려지역 추가 지정 여부를 검토하고 있다.
군은 이번 점검 결과를 바탕으로 신규 인명피해 우려지역을 지정하고, 담당자 지정과 예찰 활동 강화, 주민 대피계획 수립 등 맞춤형 안전관리 대책을 추진할 계획이다.
전도성 진천 부군수는 “기존 인명피해 우려지역의 체계적인 관리와 함께 자연재해위험지구 주변 등 신규 위험요인을 적극 발굴해 추가 지정함으로써 군민의 생명 보호에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
