경기도가 판교를 비롯한 도내 6개 AI 클러스터 거점을 유기적으로 연결하는 강력한 협력 체계를 가동한다. 경기도는 9일 판교글로벌비즈센터에서 ‘경기 AI 혁신클러스터 협의회’ 출범식을 개최하고, 거점별 앵커기관의 기술·인프라와 스타트업의 현장 수요를 잇는 거버넌스 구축에 합의했다.
이번 협의회에는 판교, 시흥, 부천, 하남, 의정부, 성남일반산단 등 6개 지역의 시·군 관계자와 운영기관, 앵커기관, 입주 기업 등 60여 명이 참여했다. 협의회는 앞으로 분기별 정기회의를 통해 거점 간 공동 사업을 발굴하고, 시스코(CISCO)와 KAIST 김재철 AI대학원 등 앵커기관이 보유한 네트워크 보안 및 AI 원천기술을 스타트업과 매칭하는 역할을 수행한다.
경기도는 올해 입주 및 멤버십 기업 127개사를 대상으로 기술개발, 인턴십 채용 연계, 오픈이노베이션, 글로벌 투자 유치 등 전방위적인 성장 지원 프로그램을 운영한다. 특히 기업들의 애로사항을 즉각 수렴해 내년도 예산 편성에 반영하는 등 수요자 중심의 정책을 펼칠 계획이다. 관련 프로그램의 참여 기업 모집은 클러스터 거점이 전체 준공되는 5월경 본격적으로 시작된다.
아울러 경기도와 경기도경제과학진흥원은 실질적인 기술 지원을 위해 오는 17일까지 ‘AI 기술개발 지원사업’ 참여 기업을 모집 중이다. 선정된 20개 기업에는 GPU와 클라우드 등 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 비용으로 기업당 최대 3,000만 원이 지원된다.
김기병 경기도 AI국장은 “협의회 출범을 통해 투자기관과 스타트업 간의 협업 기회가 대폭 확대될 것”이라며 “현장의 목소리를 신속히 반영해 경기도가 대한민국 AI 산업 생태계의 활성화를 이끄는 중심축이 되도록 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

Gyeonggi Province is launching a robust cooperative system that organically connects six AI cluster hubs within the province, including Pangyo. On the 9th, Gyeonggi Province held the launch ceremony for the "Gyeonggi AI Innovation Cluster Council" at the Pangyo Global Biz Center and agreed to establish a governance structure that links the technology and infrastructure of anchor institutions at each hub with the on-site needs of startups.
Approximately 60 people participated in the council meeting, including officials from cities and counties in the six regions—Pangyo, Siheung, Bucheon, Hanam, Uijeongbu, and Seongnam General Industrial Complex—as well as representatives from operating agencies, anchor institutions, and resident companies.
