<브레이크뉴스 홍천 = 김일웅 기자> 강원도 홍천군이 지역의 미래를 짊어질 청년들의 든든한 도약대가 되기 위해 138억 원 규모의 매머드급 종합 지원에 나선다.
홍천군은 ‘꿈을 향해 도약하는 홍천 청년’이라는 비전 아래, 청년들의 삶의 질을 획기적으로 끌어올릴 「2026년 홍천군 청년정책 시행계획」을 수립하고 본격적인 가동에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.
군은 올 한 해 '청년이 일하고, 머물고, 소통할 수 있는 홍천'을 핵심 목표로 삼았다. 이를 위해 ▲청년 종합 지원 정책 마련 ▲청년 일자리 정책 지원 확대 ▲정주 여건 강화 ▲청년 참여 활성화 등 4대 전략을 중점적으로 추진한다.
세부적으로는 일자리, 주거, 교육·직업훈련, 금융·복지·문화, 참여·기반 등 5대 핵심 분야에 걸쳐 총 34개(계속 과제 32개, 신규 과제 2개)의 촘촘한 과제를 설정했다. 군은 12개 실무 부서의 협업을 통해 총 138억 원의 막대한 예산을 적재적소에 투입, 청년들이 체감할 수 있는 실효성 있는 정책을 펼칠 계획이다.
앞서 홍천군은 지난 9일 군청 행정상황실에서 박광용 부군수(위원장)를 비롯한 11명의 위원이 참석한 가운데 '홍천군 청년정책위원회'를 열고, 2025년도 사업의 성과를 짚어보는 동시에 올해 시행계획을 최종 심의·의결했다.
박광용 부군수는 “우리 지역의 청년들이 불안감 없이 안정적으로 정착하고 꿈을 펼칠 수 있도록 다각적인 지원 방안을 끊임없이 모색할 것”이라며, “청년들의 목소리에 귀 기울여 정책의 만족도를 높이는 데 행정력을 집중하겠다”고 강조했다.
