【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군농업기술센터는 증평 배추연구회를 대상으로 ‘작목별 맞춤형 안전관리 실천 시범사업’의 일환으로 현장 밀착형 안전관리 교육을 추진하며 농가들로부터 뜨거운 호응을 얻고 있다.
이번 사업은 배추 재배 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 농작업 위험요인을 사전에 점검하고 작업환경 개선을 유도하기 위해 마련됐다.
국립한밭대학교 민병찬 교수가 컨설턴트로 참여해 지난 6일부터 13일까지 총 3회에 걸쳐 농작업 안전교육과 현장 컨설팅을 진행한다.
특히 지난 6일 첫 교육부터 농업 현장에서 바로 활용할 수 있는 실천 중심 교육이라는 평가를 받으며 참여 농가들의 관심을 모았다.
배추 재배는 정식, 시비, 방제, 수확·운반 등 전 과정에서 반복적인 허리 굽힘 작업과 중량물 취급이 많고 농약 노출 위험도 높아 농작업 안전 관리가 중요한 작목으로 꼽힌다.
사전 설문조사에서도 작업환경 전반에 대한 개선 요구가 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 수확·운반 과정에서 신체 부담과 안전사고 위험이 큰 것으로 확인됐다.
이에 따라 교육은 농기계·농약 안전사용, 보호구 착용, 근골격계 및 온열질환 예방 등 현장에서 바로 적용 가능한 내용 중심으로 진행되고 있다.
